We’ve had an exciting week at ADNOC STEM for Life, in particular, the Talented Youth in Industry (TYI) ADNOC Distribution webinar event that was held on 23 January. Umair Mustafa, the Category Development Manager of Soft Drinks & Tobacco for UAE ADNOC Oasis Business, was our distinguished speaker at the event. Over 380 students joined the session!
When Mr. Mustafa spoke about ‘Impulse Buys’, it felt like he was talking about me! You know what I’m talking about; you go to the store to buy milk but leave with an additional bag of snacks! 😂
We learned that the highest grossing categories at ADNOC Oasis stores in the UAE are Impulse Buys and Soft Drinks! Mr. Mustafa’s talk made it clear that ADNOC Oasis stores are passionate about their customers’ needs and always work to cater to them.

The UN’s promise of the 2030 Agenda is to ‘leave no one behind’; however, according to UNESCO, currently only 35% of all students enrolled in STEM subjects are female. In the workforce, it’s a mere 28%. This is why the ADNOC team is taking action to help bridge the STEM gender gap.
